About Staking

Staking crypto is similar to depositing money in a bank in order to earn rewards for your deposits. In the case of staking, users delegate a certain number of Dice coins to the blockchain’s governance model, removing the tokens from circulation for a set period of time. The blockchain network protocol locks the investor’s coins, similar to how money is deposited in a bank. This provides benefits to both the investor and the network, as well as decreasing the circulating supply. Investors can choose to pre-stake their Dice based on the rewards they will receive, which represents their trust in the project and earns them rewards in return.

Pre-Stake

During Phase 1 of the Dice project, users have the opportunity to pre-stake their Dice and increase their mining rate by up to 250%. They can opt-in for a staking period of up to 5 years, with the longer staking period resulting in higher rewards. Users can pre-stake a percentage of their balance and can only increase this percentage without the ability to decrease it. Dice staking period begins when Phase 1 ends, access to the Mainnet is opened, and users complete the KYC process to verify that they are not using fake accounts or bots. During this period, pre-stake users will receive staking rewards, which will be accessible as they become available.

Example

Alice has 10,000 Dice in her balance, which she earned through mining with her team of friends. Although there are still ten months left until the transition to the Mainnet, Alice is considering increasing her mining rate through the pre-stake process. She trusts the Dice project and decides to do a 5-year pre-stake, committing to 75% of her balance. This results in an additional bonus of 150% to her mining rate. Alice has a significant advantage because for the next ten months of mining Dice (until the transition to the Mainnet), she will earn, in addition to the base mining rate and daily bonuses, another 150% mining bonus. Let’s say the base mining rate is 16 Ice/hour and the daily mining bonus is 100% (because Alice is very active in the network), so in addition to the base mining rate of 16 Ice/hour, she also receives an additional 16 Ice/hour from the daily bonus. Alice has pre-staked 75% of her balance for five years in preparation for the Mainnet release. She will also benefit from a pre-stake bonus of 187.5% of the mining rate. This means that Alice will mine a total of 92 Ice/hour: 16 Ice/hour (base mining rate) + 16 Ice/hour (bonus from daily activity) + 60 Ice/hour (pre-stake bonus of 187.5% on the base mining rate and daily bonus).

But that’s not all!

In Mainnet, during the 5-year staking period, Alice will also benefit from the network staking rewards. For example, if the average APY for the 5-year period is 15%, she will get an extra 75% reward, which is accessible as soon as it becomes available, which is a daily event.

The bonus system is designed to reward your activity and trust in the network.

Mining Bonuses

Every time you check-in by tapping on the Dice logo button together with a Tier 1 friend, you both get a mining bonus of 25%, and when you are mining simultaneously with a Tier 2 member, you both get a 5% mining bonus.

Example:

If you are mining simultaneously with 3 Tier 1 friends and 5 Tier 2 members, then you’ll get a 3 x 25% = 75% mining bonus for Tier 1 and a 5 x 5% = 25% mining bonus for Tier 2 with a total mining bonus of 100% (75% + 25%).

If the mining rate is 16 Ice/h and your mining bonus is 100%, you will be mining with 32 Ice/h.

In addition to the mining bonuses, we have prepared many other surprise bonuses for you.

Additional Bonuses

The more sustained your activity on the network is, the more rewards you will receive.

Activities Example:

- Activity in the App.
- Uninterrupted sequences of mining.
- Check news and announcements in the app.

Almost every day, extra bonuses are offered. When bonuses are available, all users will receive a push or email notification between the hours of 10:00 and 20:00, letting them know that they can claim the bonus. Users have one hour from the time they receive the notification to claim the bonus. If they log in within 15 minutes of receiving the notification, they will receive the full bonus.

After every 15 minutes, the bonus is reduced by 25%, so that in the last quarter of an hour, only 25% of the bonus will be awarded.

Users who do not claim the bonus within one hour of receiving the notification will not be able to claim the bonus for that day.

The extra bonus has a 24-hour validity period. If a new bonus is granted and claimed before the current one expires, the previous bonus will be reset and the new one will start its 24-hour validity period.

There may also be days when the bonuses are not awarded or days when the value of the bonuses is supplemented.

Pre-Stake Bonuses

If you choose to Pre-Stake for 1 to 5 years after the Mainnet launch, then your decision will be rewarded immediately.

From the day you made the decision until the end of Phase 1 and entering the Mainnet, you will benefit from a pre-stake bonus.

This bonus is given to your mining rate.
